A Special We Love You! Night
|
You make our day, everyday! We love finding 'just the right' books and toys with you. We love hearing news about you and your families. We love that you love books as much as we do. And we especially love that you've been willing to cope with the construction sites outside our door and on our street!

We thought of giving you medals but instead we're having a 'We Love You' Night! On Wednesday, February 15th at 7 pm, the store will be open and we'll have special treats and surprises for everyone! We don't want you to feel like a sardine so this night will be for the first 50 people to sign up (if there is a waiting list, we'll have another night). You make our day everyday...let us make your night.

For Parking and Construction updates, check the Woozles blog.

Have We Got a Story for You!

Woozles' Storytime

There is nothing quite like sharing one of your favourite books with a friend. We'd like to share some of ours with you. Woozles is now offering our own Storytime. Bring your little person on Tuesday mornings between 10:15 - 11:00 AM for some old favourites, new discoveries and enough adventure to ward off those cold-weather blues. All welcome!

Battle of the Books
|
The 2011 Battle of the Books competition was outstanding...great books, fabulous teams, enthusiastic and supportive teachers and parents. The winners were: Inglis Street for the Elementary Division and Clayton Park Junior High for the Teen Division.

Congratulations to all!

The 2012 Battle of the Books reading lists, registration and order forms are now available. If you've never seen a game, consider joining us - you'll be amazed! Call us for dates and times.

Woozles has been running its Battle of the Books program since 1986 - tens of thousands of books have been read, over 3000 students (and hundreds of teachers and parents) have been involved, and we're still excited about this signature program!

We have now put together a colourful brochure about Battle of the Books which addresses several 'Frequently Asked Questions' - please ask us for a copy or check out the expanded information about Battle of the Books on our website which includes a short video clip from a recent ATV evening news program.

We are considering starting a simplified version of Battle of the Books for students in Grades 1 - 3: let us know if you are interested.

Woozles' 10 Questions
|
This has become one of the most popular regular features on our blog, where we invite many of our favourite authors to answer the same 10 questions. Have you checked out some of the responses? Have you thought about how you might answer these questions? Here are a few sample questions to whet your appetite:
- What literary character do you most relate to?
- What would your pirate name be?
- What is a Woozle?
Visit our blog to see how authors such as Oliver Jeffers, Jo Ann Yhard, Kenneth Oppel, Sheree Fitch and Mo Willems have responded.
