Contests Winners
|
Congratulations to Christopher N. who had the closest guess in our annual Jelly Bean Jar Contest!

Woozles recently held a draw for tickets to Ballet Jorgen's Swan Lake. Entrants drew a picture of a dancer OR performed a short dance. Rudy G. was the lucky winner of this draw.

Battle of the Books 2013
|
Woozles has been running our Battle of the Books program since 1986 and this year was one of the best. Between the Elementary and Teen Divisions, we had 24 teams competing from as far away as Truro and the South Shore.

Games have been close as these incredible young readers recall details from the books they've read and answer increasingly difficult questions. And then, when games end, competitive lines fade away and members of the two teams often engage in spirited discussions of their favourite books.

The book lists for the 2014 competition are now available - in the store and on our website.

Still Here & Almost 35!
|
The saying that 'time flies when you're having fun' certainly applies to all of us at Woozles. It's hard to believe that we've been right here, in the same place (albeit bigger with 2 expansions) for over 3 decades.

Given that Woozles will celebrate our 35th birthday this fall, it's a great time to reflect on our past and imagine our future...and we want your help!!!! Please tell us what you remember...tell us what you appreciate...tell us what you'd like to see...

Send us letters, emails, facebook posts, tweets, poems, drawings...anything your heart or creative soul comes up with. And with your continuing support, we look forward to another 35 years!

Woozles' 10 Questions
|
This has become one of the most popular regular features on our blog, where we invite many of our favourite authors to answer the same 10 questions. Have you checked out some of the responses? Have you thought about how you might answer these questions? Here are a few sample questions to whet your appetite:
- What literary character do you most relate to?
- What would your pirate name be?
- What is a Woozle?
Visit our blog to see how authors such as Oliver Jeffers, Jo Ann Yhard, Kenneth Oppel, Sheree Fitch and Mo Willems have responded.
