The End of an Era!

Since the beginning in 1978, Trudy Carey has been Woozles’ beloved Manager…but that will change at the end of February. In March, Trudy is turning the page to explore the next chapter of her life.
While we do not know what will make up Trudy’s ‘retirement’ (other than lots of traveling), what we do know is that Woozles has been blessed for 30 years and that she will be missed.
From the more than 100 Creative Music & Movement workshops Trudy has given, to the thousands of books she has chosen and read and loved, to her gracious hosting of children’s authors, illustrators and performers, and to the children’s names she can remember for decades, Trudy is truly exceptional!
Help us celebrate Trudy at a Reception in her honour on Monday, February 16th from 6 – 8 pm at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax. Please RSVP by calling us at 902-423-7626 with the number of people that plan to attend.
30th Birthday – Tons of Fun!!

Hundreds of children and their families helped us celebrate Woozles’ 30th birthday on Oct. 19. Huge thanks to City Centre Atlantic for welcoming us into their space with open arms; Mermaid Theatre for sending huge talking dinosaurs; all the performers who charmed their young audience (and the older ones, too); and to all of you who played our games, fished our fish pond, got your faces painted and said ‘Happy Birthday’!
The draw for the 2 tickets to Mermaid Theatre’s brand new show – ‘Good Night Moon’ and ‘Runaway Bunny’ – to be held at the Rebecca Cohn on June 9, 2009 was won by Emelia LaShamb.
