What was the last book you read?

Seriously, the last book of fiction was Pluto’s Ghost. No really. It came out and I had to read it cover to cover. Then a book of non-fiction called The Making of a Story and I have Michael Crummey’s Galore.

What was your favourite book growing up?

Call of the Wild, Red Badge of Courage, Swiss Family Robinson, A One of a Kind Family Uptown, Pippi Longstocking, Down at Pooh Corner.

What literary character do you most relate to?

Hmmm. Old Yeller.

Describe your ideal day off.

No emails. On the beach or in bed reading.

If you could attempt any profession but your own, what would it be?

Pediatrician. Archaeologist. Yoga instructor.
