Each year, Woozles honours a person in Atlantic Canada who has given outstanding service promoting awareness of children’s literature. This year we are thrilled to honour Terrilee Bulger, a former “Woozle” who has been a major part of the Atlantic literary scene for over twenty years.
Terrilee has worked in publishing for many years as a sales rep and publicist for numerous publishers, and as Sales Manager at Nimbus Publishing in Halifax. She got her start at a Charlottetown bookstore and then moved to Halifax to attend university. She found a new home as a bookseller here at Woozles.
She has continued to embrace new professional challenges, receiving her CMA Certification and taking ownership of PEI’s Acorn Press in 2010. Most recently, Terrilee has become the General Manager at Nimbus. Terrilee has also been a driving force behind the Atlantic Book Awards Society and written Nova Scotia Lullaby, a children’s book that has often appeared on Woozles bestseller lists.
Congratulations Terrilee!
